Advanced Hair Clinics is a highly specialized hair transplantation clinic
In Advanced Hair Clinics Piraeus the most advanced hair transplant and hair loss methods are in place to restore your density with safety and comfort.
Advanced Hair Clinics, member of Cosmetic Derma Medicine Medical Group, is a highly specialized hair transplantation clinic, four times awarded as International Hair Clinic of the Year (IMTJ Medical Travel Awards 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020). In our 15 locations in Greece, Cyprus and Latin America (Costa Rica), we apply the most up-to-date diagnostic tests and treatments, either conservative or invasive, that effectively fight and restore even the most challenging cases of male and female hair loss.
In cases of androgenetic and other forms of alopecia, FUE & Unshaven FUE hair transplantation offer maximum density and natural-looking, permanent results without causing any linear scars or marks. Thinning in the chin, the moustache and its connection to the beard, the cheeks, the sideburns and any combination of these areas, is resolved thanks to FUE beard transplant. FUE eyebrow transplant is addressed to people who suffer from congenital absence of the eyebrows, to people who wish to cover scars from accidents or burns and to people who have excessively thinned eyebrows due to waxing, chemical peeling or ageing. The restoration of Strip scars can be achieved with FUE hair transplant. The non-invasive hair loss treatment with autologous growth factors offers very good results in even difficult and severe cases.
|FUE Hair Transplant
|The FUE (Follicular Unit Excision) is the only way that permanently restores androgenic alopecia and other forms of alopecia that men and women suffer from. This minimally invasive method, which enables the extraction and implantation of the hair follicles one-by-one, is the most advanced hair transplantation method as it is offers maximum density without causing any linear scars or marks in the donor area.
|PRP Hair Loss Treatment
|PRP Hair Loss Treatment can be applied to both men and women. Apart from androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss), hair loss treatment can also be applied with very good results in alopecia areata (spot baldness) and all types of diffuse alopecia, while it is also ideal for preventing hair loss, if applied before hair thinning becomes apparent.
PRP Hair Loss Treatment has 3 main actions:
|FUE Beard Transplant
|FUE is the optimum technique for the transplantation of hair follicles in beard area, by which individual follicles are obtained one by one from the donor site – preferably in the occipital region (back and bottom of the scalp) – and transferred to the receptor site, where the beard thinning has occurred. FUE is considered today as the most modern method for beard transplantation, with the great advantage that it is minimally invasive and does not leave any marks or scars.
Beard transplantation areas include that of the chin, the moustache and its connection to the beard, the cheeks, the sideburns and any combination of these areas.
|FUE Eyebrow Transplant
|Eyebrow transplantation, performed with FUE technique, is the method of choice for hair restoration in this area; this minimally invasive method can be performed with microtools in order to avoid the removal of tissue and the subsequent scarring of the skin, as opposed to FUT or Strip technique, a technique that requires the removal of a strip of skin from the donor site of the scalp, thus creating a permanent scar.
FUE is the most suitable method because it is practically painless and does not leave any marks or linear scars. The new hairs begin to appear immediately after the completion of the implant session and the final results appear relatively early, within 4-6 months, thanks to the rich blood supply of the area. The growth of new hairs continues even up to 12 months after the eyebrow transplant.
|FUT scar restoration is an extremely difficult and demanding procedure, that should be performed only by a specialized Plastic Surgeon who acquires relevant experience, as Dr Anastasios Vekris does. There are three basic methods for FUT-Strip scar restoration: By excision of the scar and wound stitching with W-plasty technique, by implanting hair follicles with FUE technique and with permanent medical tattoo (SMP – Scalp Micropigmentation).
|Alopecia is a very complex, polygenic, autoimmune disease that affects both genders, regardless of their age. Modern gene-mapping techniques have showed 5 small gene regions as being associated with balding. These findings, when evaluated by an experienced doctor, can help an individual to determine a genetic pre-disposition to alopecia, even before thinning or receding hair becomes apparent.
In order to test one’s genetic-predisposition, genotyping of the 5 gene regions is performed by obtaining genetic material from the person concerned. Baldness DNA Test identifies the genetic variants associated with hair loss disorders, such as Androgenetic Alopecia or male-pattern baldness, and detects the chances of experiencing hair loss. It is a simple and virtually painless test, requiring only a drop of blood from the patient, preserved in special collection systems. Hair Loss DNA Test results are typically available 7 days after obtaining the sample.
