• Dr. Athanasios Athanasiou is a medical graduate since 1996. After completing his undergraduate studies he served as a physician at the 406 General Army Hospital.

   

  He completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at Agios Savvas Hospital and part of it at Chelsea & Westminister Hospital in London. He gained a wealth of experience in the field of reconstructive surgery, particularly in the area of microsurgical reconstruction of head and neck defects and breast reconstruction. In 2006 he completed his doctoral thesis on "wound healing with the help of pulsed electromagnetic fields". A model study, the results of which were published in prestigious international journals such as (Bioelectromanetics) JJPRD. The applications of these fields continue to be studied by him and his team at the University of Ioannina with various experiments to date. After obtaining his specialty degree he obtained a paid position in a large private clinic in London, where he gained a wealth of experience in the field of mainly cosmetic surgery, working with big names in London in the field of plastic surgery.

   

  He continued his training in California, USA, where he collaborated with great professors in New Port Beach and Beverly Hills, creating a strong relationship of cooperation and continuous exchange of views and techniques, which characterizes the name of the Model Center for Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology, "Athens Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery", which he created in 2008 in Kolonaki.

   

  These areas are regularly visited by his famous colleagues from all over the world where they exchange views and surgical techniques on both aesthetic and reconstructive issues in general, while his aim is the vertical and integrated provision of advanced plastic surgery and aesthetics services in general.

   

  He is a member of HESPRAS.

   

  He has published in many renowned international and Greek scientific journals and has given many lectures in national and international medical conferences.

   

  He strongly believes in cooperation between specialties and his basic philosophy is that aesthetics and beauty in general is an organized set of mental and physical characteristics in a person and not individual elements on it.
