Short Bio
Dr. Aktsalis was born in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the 2nd Public High School of Thessaloniki and studied Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from 1994 until 2000.
He was a Primary Health Care Physician at Rethymno, Crete in 2001 and he completed his training in General Surgery at the Papanikoloaou Hospital in Thessaloniki, from 2002 until 2004. He has served as a Medical Officer for the Greek Air Force in 2005.
From 2006 until 2011 he completed his training in Plastic Surgery at St Andrew’s Hospital in Essex, Derrifor Hospital in Plymouth and Gennimatas General Hospital in Athens.
He became a member of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery(E.B.O.P.R.A.S.) and he was specialized in Breast Reconstruction in Milan (I.N.T. and I.E.O.) and in aesthetic surgery in Barcelona (Clinica Planas) and Italy (Villabella Clinic, Salo), in 2012.
Dr. Aktsalis was a fellow of the Dutch Association of Facial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (DAFPRS) in Ghent, Belgium, at the ‘EMC2’ and ‘Coupure Centrum’, next to the world-famous plastic surgeons P. Tonnard and A. Verpaele in 2012.
