  Dr. Konstantinos Anastassakis MD is a board-certified Head & Neck Surgeon since 2009. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece in 2010. After completing his 5-year residency in Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Athens General Hospital “G. Genimatas”, he was offered an honorary fellowship in ENT Surgery at Universitätsklinik für Hals-Nasen-Ohrenheilkunde, Kopf- und Halschirurgie. He received an extensive training in Surgical Hair Restoration amongst some of the most prestigious clinics and hair transplant surgeons in New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.

   

  In 2010 he launched his first practice office exclusively dedicated in Hair Restoration, Anastasakis Hair Clinic and in 2017 he relocates his Hair Transplant Clinic in Halandri (Athens north, Greece) in a spacious 5-storey building.

   

  Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Anastassakis has maintained a hands-on approach, personally performing all hair transplant surgeries in his clinic leading his 3 surgical teams aiming for the best result for each patient. He personally operates and supervises in all surgeries while, for more than ten years, he has consulted and guided thousands of hair loss patients. Dr. Anastassakis offers a comprehensive range of treatments, including FUE hair transplants, repair and revision of failed hair transplants, Follicular Unit Strip Surgery (FUSS) with trichophytic closure, Body hair transplant (BHT), and more. What sets Dr. Anastassakis apart is the extensive collection of real-life before-and-after videos showcasing his remarkable outcomes, available on both his website and the clinic's YouTube Channel.

   

  Boasting recognition as one of the 220 board-certified surgeons by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, Dr. Anastassakis has held prominent positions in the ABHRS Board of Governors from 2017 to 2021, underscoring his leadership in the field. Since 2017, he has been one of the examiners in the ABHRS annual written and oral exams.

   

  Additionally, he is a Fellow Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and actively contributes to the scientific community through conferences and workshops on various aspects of hair transplantation. Driven by a dedication to patient safety, he serves in non-profit roles within ISHRS committees and conducts live surgery workshops to mentor aspiring hair transplantation practitioners. Through his active work in the global scientific communities of ABHRS and ISHRS, he has taken on positions and roles to protect patients against the growing activity of illegal hair transplant clinics and the problem of unlicensed non-physicians performing hair restoration surgeries and also, he works on to secure Institutional Principles of Medical Requirements, Standards and Procedures for Hair Transplantation.

   

  He is a founding member and President of the Hellenic Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery (ELAMAT- HAHRS), which is the national / local branch of ISHRS. ELAMAT is a non-profit company with founding members doctors of different specialties who are actively involved in Hair Restoration. It is the Global Council Member of the ISHRS, abiding to the principles, purposes, rules, and guidelines of ISHRS and ABHRS.

   

  Notably, Dr. Anastassakis is the accomplished author of the medical textbook "Androgenetic Alopecia from A to Z," a comprehensive work with international acclaim, leading to its English publication by Springer in 2022-2023. This three-volume masterpiece covers every facet of the condition, from biology and pathophysiology to diagnosis, etiology, and related disorders, making it an invaluable resource in the field.
