The Metropolitan Hotel at Thessaloniki was opened Its Hospitality Doors and Welcomed Guests in 1969, its renowned owner was also its architect Socrates Papageorgiou.

Socrates Papageorgiou and his beloved wife Marika Papageorgiou when choosing the Hotel's name, followed their heart and it was "The Metropolitan Hotel" and Through All These Years movie stars, corporate executives , athletic teams and many more used it several times as an accommodation since is one of the very first Hotels in Thessaloniki.
