The small island of Agios Sostis is in the cove of Laganas. It was named after the local church of Agios Sostis. The island was connected to Zakynthos until 1663. Since the island got separated from the main land, due to geological procedures, it is now known as Cameo-island.  It is extremely beautiful, with lush nature and makes a stunning impression to visitors. It can be reached through a small wooden bridge that connects it with Agios Sostis Bay.

Zakynthos is one of the most easy-accessible islands from the mainland of Greece. Zakynthos hosts “Dionysios Solomos” International Airport with direct flights from Athens, other Ionian Islands and many European countries. By ferry it is connected to the port of Kyllini on the mainland of Greece (15 nautical miles, 280 km from Athens). The modern ferries provide frequent daily schedules and it has a travelling duration of approximately 1 hour. During the summer season there is a daily ferry connection to Kefalonia and to the Italian port of Brindisi as well. There are also frequent bus schedules to Zakynthos, departing from central stations in Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki.
