Short Bio
Professor Kouvelas specializes in Pediatric Dentistry maintaining his private practice since 1990. He has been teaching in the University of Athens and Moscow for more than 30 years.
Prof. Nikolaos S. Kouvelas Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, in the Dental Department, University of Athens and founder of EURODENTICA Specialized Dental Care. He is a Graduate of Athens University (1975), Faculty of Dentistry and he has a Specialization in Pediatric Dentistry (1977) from the faculty of dentistry of the University of Toronto, Canada.
He has been a founding member of ΟΔ.ΕΤ.Ε.ΑΣ (1991) and President from 1991-2009 in ΟΔ.ΕΤ.Ε.ΑΣ Greek branch of the International Association for Disability and Oral Health (IADH).
He has been President elected of I.A.D.H. (International Association for Disability and Oral Health), in 1998 and President from 2000-2002.
His private practice is exclusively in Pediatric Dentistry. He runs EURODENTICA S.A.-Specialized Dental Care, (Eurodentica S.A. – formerly known as Athens Pedodontic Center) since 1990 and he had been teaching in 1980-2013 in Athens University and 1997-2000 in Moscow University. He had a private practice in Moscow, for a period of 3 years with collaboration of Spectra Ltd.
He attends, regularly, seminars concerning Dentistry and Psychology, worldwide and gives lectures as well. Moreover, he gives lectures about management and organization of dental private officers and specialized Dentist’s.
He has more than 100 publications in scientific papers and mass media newspapers. In 2001 he was the key note speaker (Lasers in Dentistry) in Quala Lumpur Malaysia in the FDI Congress.
Since 2010 he is participating in a number of congresses’ and seminars in the field of Dental Tourism.
In 2014 as CEO of EURODENTICA S.A. and under his guidance the Firm has been certified by TEMOS and awarded by Diplomatic Council.
In 2016 he became a Board Member of ELITOUR (Greek Medical Travel Council).
In 2019 he became a Board Member of Asklepieia Health Cluster.
